This director will head the offices in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary and coordinate iBanFirst's expansion strategy in the regions with the aim of providing local companies with international payments and security solutions. An opening in Italy is planned soon.
According to an iBanFirst Germany representative, the company can now support the subsidiaries in Eastern Europe from Germany and with local contacts. The expansion was made possible by the takeover of a majority stake in iBanFirst by the US fund Marlin Equity Partners at the beginning of 2021.
