Thursday 9 July 2020 12:21 CET | News

Huawei has launched the mada Pay app in cooperation with Saudi Payments, through the Huawei AppGallery application platform in Saudi Arabia.

According to Al Bawaba, the app will enable AppGallery users to make contactless payments, store their cards issued by local banks in a single digital wallet, and then pay through NFC contactless payment technology, without the need to present the card.

Moreover, mada Pay app can be used both locally (Saudi Arabia) and internationally and is highly secured, as all data is encrypted and the actual card information is not shared with merchants.

The app is available on Huawei’s app distribution platform, HUAWEI AppGallery, which connects 420 million active users monthly throughout more than 170 countries and regions, Al Bawaba reported.
