Monday 12 April 2021 12:37 CET | News

Huawei has partnered with Mondia Pay, a digital payments company, to roll out contactless payment solutions for mobile network operators.

According to Al Bawaba, the initiative comes as demand for the implementation of direct carrier billing service (DCB) for mobile users in the MEA region has grown. Therefore, Mondia Pay’s direct carrier billing service integration was launched with Vodafone Egypt and Etisalat UAE. During this quarter the following operators – Ufone Pakistan, Cell C South Africa, Orange Tunisia, and Ooredoo Algeria – will go live with the DCB service, following the testing phase.

Furthermore, Mondia Pay is available on HUAWEI AppGallery to facilitate online payments, and subscribers are enabled to use DCB to access apps on HUAWEI AppGallery, which expands their access to top local and global apps.

Overall, Huawei’s partnership with Mondia Pay underpins its commitment to supporting developers in the MEA region. Through the partnership, global developers can benefit from the continued increase of DCB coverage and in-app-purchases kit capabilities, Al Bawaba reported.
