Friday 8 November 2013 08:17 CET | News

Harbortouch, a US-based point-of-sale (POS) systems and merchant services provider, has launched Perkwave payment terminal, which enables merchants to accept smart card and mobile payment technologies.

With this solution, customers are enabled to swipe their smartphones to pay for goods and services. In addition to standard credit and debit card acceptance, this integrated solution supports new payment methods as it features an EMV-enabled credit card terminal integrated with a near field communication (NFC) reader.

The Perkwave terminal also includes the ability for customers to receive e-receipts sent directly to their e-mail address and is compatible with the Perkwave loyalty program currently under development by Harbortouch.

In May 2013, Harbortouch and mobile payment company Tabbedout joined forces to deliver an integrated solution combining Harbortouchs touch-screen POS systems with the mobile payment, loyalty and customer management features developed by Tabbedout.
