Eintracht Frankfurt launches mainpay

Germany-based Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, Deutsche Bank and Mastercard have jointly presented the new digital payment system ‘mainpay’. 

This virtual payment solution can be used for home games or major events in the Deutsche Bank Park, as well as regionally in supermarkets, retail trade, local public transport or even internationally. According to an Eintracht Frankfurt representative, the club wants to ensure a safe alternative to cash transactions in the stadium without having to work with top-up credit. 

With the virtual debit Mastercard, Eintracht fans can make contactless payments with their smartphone at all NFC-enabled POS terminals that accept Mastercard. mainpay can also be integrated into an Apple or Google Pay wallet.
