Boston Communications Group (BCGI), has completed interoperability testing to verify full compatibility of bcgi Prepaid Wireless for GSM wireless networks utilizing CAMEL standards for Intelligent Networking (IN).

CAMEL compliance, as defined by the 3GPP standards group, was tested and certified at Nortels Interoperability Testing facility in Richardson, Texas. bcgi Prepaid Wireless simultaneously supports mixed-infrastructure network environments - including CDMA, TDMA, GSM, iDEN, GPRS and 1xRTT - allowing carriers to easily migrate to next-generation platforms. Certified interoperability with Nortel Networks Mobile Switching Center (MSC) equipment further advances bcgis ability to speed carriers implementation of prepaid wireless services in GSM environments, and eliminates the burden of maintaining duplicate service sets and dependency on multiple solutions. Furthermore, prepaid subscribers on the bcgi platform can be assured of a seamless roaming experience among CAMEL-enabled networks when traveling in the U.S. or internationally. bcgi Prepaid Wireless is a feature-rich, complete solution for the profitable delivery of wireless services on a pay-in-advance basis. Available as an outsourced service or licensed solution, it provides real-time event and session management, nationwide roaming, service plan rating functionality for voice and data, automatic recurring recharge, and proactive customer care tools, leading to a cost-effective means of attracting and retaining new subscribers. With full support of CAMEL standards for IN architecture, all current and future bcgi Prepaid Wireless carrier customers will have access to its robust feature set and integrated services, including mobile commerce and account payment options, as well as seamless roaming, in CAMEL GSM environments.
