AJB launches FIPay Mobile app

Monday 18 March 2013 13:49 CET | News

US-based payment integration software services provider AJB Software Design has launched a mobile payment application dubbed FIPay Mobile that allows Android and iPhone users to pay for gas purchases with their mobile phones while remaining in their cars.

AJB has unveiled the mobile payment application through a pilot deployment at Hughes Car Wash, a Petroleum & C-Store retailer. Consumers can pay for gasoline and car washes with their mobile devices at the Hughes Car Wash flagship location in Edmonton, with plans to roll out the solution to additional locations.

Consumers need to download the merchant’s small application onto their phone, create an account, register one of their credit cards and then they are set up to start making purchases from their mobile wallet.

AJB’s payment processing suite consists of the Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) and Flexible Integrated Payment System (FIPay) and enables merchants to deploy new payment developments. FIPay provides the in-store system component responsible for integrating the PIN pad device into First Data’s DCC solution. AJB’s Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) provides authorizations to First Data for the DCC transactions.

In recent news, AJB Software Design has joined the Visa POS Solutions Program as a participating payment technology provider, by validating current versions of its payment processing suite.
