Agilysys, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise computer solutions, will showcase cutting-edge technology currently available for retailers at the National Retail Federations (NRF) 94th Annual Convention and EXPO, January 16-19 in New York City at Booth 2329.

The Agilysys booth will feature demonstrations of proven technologies, among them digital media, self checkout, biometrics, and personal shopper, allowing for an intimate look at the current cutting-edge technology available to retailers and showcase successful implementations and an ROI. NRF attendees will be able to see first-hand current technologies with retail applications that demonstrate a measurable ROI, said Bob Bailey, executive vice president, Agilysys. This allows a retailer to invest in solutions that improve their business. By using a mobile point-of-sale (POS) solution from Agilysys, IKEA North America has effectively utilized the technology during time periods with a high volume of shoppers such as at new IKEA store grand openings and has reduced checkout times by approximately 50 percent. The mobile line busting application allows IKEA staff to scan merchandise and complete sales transactions before shoppers reach the checkout counter. The Mobile POS solution has allowed IKEA to enhance the customer experience and improve store efficiency, said Mark Fitzsimmons, US Customer Service Manager, IKEA North America. Our goal is to always provide a level of customer service that is consistent with the level of satisfaction that our customers have come to expect with IKEAs range of product offerings. The Symbol POS solution from Agilysys helps us do that.
