Yandex has announced the release of an online marketplace and an ecommerce platform to strengthen its position in Russia.

The marketplace, Beru (“I’ll take it”), offers shoppers purchases from multiple categories on one platform, while Bringly brings cross-border shopping for consumers.

Yandex and Sberbank have been operating the Beru platform in beta since June 2018, fulfilling over 180,000 orders. Earlier in November 2018, Beru was launched to the Russian market, featuring over 1,000 retailers and 600 shopping categories from household appliances to cosmetics.

Bringly has just been launched and will house the site’s most popular goods in a Latvia-based warehouse to expedite shipping. For instance, it offers free delivery for all goods purchased from Turkey, China or Latvia.
