Netherlands-based financial services companies Mollie has announced being chosen by cloud communications company Vonage as its European strategic payment provider for its solution Jumper.ai.

Vonage aims to help companies accelerate their digital transformation. Its fully programmable Communications Platform enables integration of video, voice, chat, instant messaging, AI and authentication capabilities with their existing products, workflows and systems. Vonage's conversational commerce application enables the creation of AI-powered omnichannel experiences. Their fully programmable communications, contact centre and conversational commerce applications are built entirely on this platform.

Vonage’s solution Jumper.ai

Jumper.ai is Vonage's end-to-end conversational commerce solution. It enables businesses of all sizes to develop messaging-first shopping experiences for their customers. This is possible for all popular social networks, instant messaging services, and internet platforms. Supported by Mollie's payment solutions, Jumper.ai aims to boost business customer interaction and revenue.

According to a Vonage representative, Jumper.ai empowers businesses to meet the needs of new and existing customers, as the platform gives them built-in capabilities to simplify the way they offer products to customers. The partnership gives businesses across Europe the ability to engage with customers through their preferred channels.

What this partnership offers

Customer service representatives can proceed to sell or up-sell products and services during conversations initiated by customers. They can also take payments from customers during chat sessions. In addition, they can reconnect with potential shoppers who have abandoned their filled shopping carts. They can notify them of replenished supplies, refund damaged items, or offer the option to pay a deposit for an order they place during a chat session. In this way, companies can generate income from short contact moments with customers and build a relationship based on one-on-one conversations.

Aim of the partnership

A Mollie representative states that conversational commerce represents unprecedented potential for more direct interaction with customers and increasing sales. The company aims to expand our presence in the conversational commerce market with Vonage as its strategic payment provider.

Mollie's integration with Vonage's platform offers companies the opportunity to make customers aware of relevant products via various chat channels, such as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Payment requests can also be shared directly with customers via chats to direct them to the payment page.
