Thursday 30 April 2020 14:06 CET | News

Toast, a US-based restaurant management platform, has announced the launch of a delivery feature meant to help restaurants struggling to manage costs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The feature is called Toast Delivery Services and it offers flat rates for delivering food. It costs less than USD 8 to deliver food within a five-mile radius, according to mobilepaymentstoday.com.

Toast looks toward helping the restaurant community during the COVID-19 health crisis, and also taking control of the guest experience, so that establishments can thrive when the industry begins to recover, as related by mobilepaymentstoday.com.

The company also announced Toast Now, a suite of on-demand, commission-free digital channels that include Toast Online Ordering, a mobile order app called Toast TakeOut and e-gift cards. No Toast Hardware or Toast POS order is required to access Toast Now.
