As part of the deal, Magento users will gain access to Shift4 PCI compliant tokenisation service, while maintaining customers checkout process on their own website.
In addition to security services, the integration will also enable credit, debit, and gift card transactions and accommodate partial authorisations, which means customers can divide the balance between a gift card and a credit or debit card.
Shift4 serves more than 20,000 clients in several industries, including hospitality, retail, food & beverage, mail/telephone order and e-commerce. The company has integrated e-commerce service Zen Cart to its payment gateway in September 2011.
