Rocket Internet-backed startup Tripda enters India

Monday 24 November 2014 00:39 CET | News

Rocket Internet-backed Tripda, an online ride sharing marketplace, is entering the Indian market.

Earlier in 2014, Tripda was rolled out in Brazil and now operates in 10 countries, including the US and some Asian markets. In India, it is available through its web and mobile app platforms, available for iOS and Android including payment processing, www.iamwire.com reports. The platform fills the long-distance (often inter-state) travel market as an alternative to buses, trains and short flights. Passengers and drivers can also set personal travel preferences, exchange messages and mutually filter travel partners taking similar journeys.
