Naspers closes MIH ecommerce sites as development strategy

Naspers has taken down a number of its South African ecommerce sites (SACamera, 5rooms, Kinderelo and Style36), run by its online investment arm MIH, as part of a strategy to refocus resources on other properties such as Kalahari.

Founded in 1915, Naspers is a multinational media and internet group with operations in over 133 countries. Its main operations are in ecommerce, pay-television and related technologies and print media.

In recent news, Naspers has named company newcomer Bob van Dijk as chief executive, to take over on April 1, 2014.
