Friday 9 October 2020 13:28 CET | News

As part of a major update coming later in October 2020, Microsoft Edge has announced being enhanced with a price comparison tool for online shopping.

The new price comparison feature works across a variety of retailers while shopping online inside Edge. When doing some shopping for the holidays, for example, and creating a list of products inside a Collection, user will be able to hit a “compare price to other retailers” button to see a comparison, according to The Verge.

Initially, the tool will only work with stores in the US, but Microsoft said it plans to make it more proactive in the future and add options for coupons. Microsoft is also continuing to test its vertical tabs feature for Edge, and many of the improvements announced today will include further changes in the Canary and Beta versions of Edge in the weeks ahead.
