Macau: cross-border trade hits USD 33.46 bln in 1999-2013

The value of the mainland’s merchandise exports to Macau increased at an average annual rate of 11.9% from 1999 to 2013, amounting to USD 30.3 billion (about MOP 242 billion), according to official data cited by macaubusiness.com.

The value of the mainland’s imports from Macau jumped at an average annual rate of 10% to USD 3.16 billion, according to the General Administration of Customs, mentioned by the same source. The value of trade between the mainland and Macau rose to USD 3.36 billion in the first 11 months of 2014, 3.7% more than in 2013.
