Klarna has announced the launch of its mobile shopping app in Switzerland.

According to the press release, through the app, Klarna wants to create an improved shopping experience for all users. The initiative comes to cover the changing needs of consumers who are increasingly looking for more flexibility, convenience, and control when shopping online. The Klarna app is already used by 18 million monthly users in 17 countries, including Germany, Austria, the USA, and the UK.

Furthermore, the benefits of Klarna's app include the following:

  • On the start page of the app, users can start their search in-browser and access all of their favourite shops from here.

  • Articles found via the Klarna app can be saved in personal collections so that users are automatically informed about sales and discount campaigns via push notifications.

  • The customised shopping dashboard gives users an overview of the items they have purchased with Klarna and their previous expenses.

  • The Klarna app is available as an iOS and Android version.

  • Thanks to the recently launched CO2 tracker, the individual CO2 footprint of one's own purchases can be viewed in the app, which enables a better insight into one's own consumption behaviour.

In the coming months, additional app functions will be gradually introduced. Users can also manage their own finances in the app and handle all of the returns management, from returns and complaints to refunds.
