The Buy Now, Pay Later platform Klarna has announced its official launch in the Republic of Ireland.

Klarna’s debut on the Irish market comes after four years of tackling, making it the 18th country in which the Swedish fintech is now present. The company launched the product ‘Pay in 3’ with its official debut in Ireland that allows customers to shop online and split the total cost of purchases in three interest-free equal instalments.

According to Klarna’s CEO, the company may consider launching additional services and products, including instant-payment solutions, and long-term financing for acquisitions of higher goods such as furniture and computers.

Currently, Klarna counts for over 250,000 global retail partners and the first domestic partnerships are with the athleisure brand Gym+Coffee, and lingerie brand Yummie.
