Jingdong enters the virtual credit card market

Tuesday 4 March 2014 00:09 CET | News

Jingdong, the Chinese ecommerce company, has opened an online virtual credit line service for its customers, iresearchchina.com reports. The service enables direct credit applications for customers on the company’s online platform.

In the case of a three-instalment payment, for example, Jingdong charges a fifth of China Construction Bank’s offer and a quarter of Bank of China and Agricultural Bank’s charge.

Jingdong started a branch company in October 2013 that offers loans to individuals and small businesses in Shanghai. Baidu and home appliances company Suning are also keen on taking over the small loans market.
