Via this partnership, employee ID card issuers can use the Seos digital credential technology to let staff use smart watches, watchbands, rings, and other devices to gain access to buildings, log in to PCs and cloud applications, make payments at vending machines, and more. Also, companies can order a number of wearables for their dedicated use, in special areas, or even add more services to them, like payment or their employees’ public transit job ticket.
Seos credential tech is designed for flexibility, which means that Fidesmo can load the Seos applet into the tamper-resistant secure elements (SE) produced by chipmakers. This will enable wearables manufacturers using the broadest range of SE chips to add building and parking access as well as complementary applications to their devices. Authentication to PCs, IT systems and cloud applications, secure print job collection, time and attendance, POS, and automated cashless vending, are some of the additional applications supported by Seos credential technology.
