Google participates in Dunzo's USD 40 mln Series E investment round

Google has announced that it has participated in a USD 40 million investment round of the India-based delivery startup Dunzo.

According to TechCrunch, Dunzo stated that Google, Lightbox, Evolvence, Hana Financial Investment, LGT Lightstone Aspada, and Alteria among others participated in its Series E financing round, bringing its to-date raise to USD 121 million.

Dunzo operates a hyper-local delivery service in nearly a dozen cities in India, including Bangalore, Delhi, Noida, Pune, Gurgaon, Powai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Users get access to a range of items from several categories such as grocery, perishables, pet supplies, and medicines. Furthermore, users can also order dinner from their neighbourhood stores and restaurants.
