According to the press release, through the collaboration, GoDaddy is committed to helping entrepreneurs succeed online with high-performance WooCommerce stores, as WordPress powers more than a third of websites on the Internet. Besides, 17% of all WordPress sites use WooCommerce, making it one of the largest ecommerce platforms in the world.
Furthermore, SkyVerge offers more than 60 WooCommerce extensions, spanning payments, email marketing, and memberships, used by over 100,000 ecommerce merchants for high-performance online stores. Through the partnership, SkyVerge will continue to support its existing customers and product portfolio, as well as continue its contributions to open source software.
However, financial details of the transaction were not disclosed yet.
