The report, Payments Landscape in the Czech Republic: Opportunities and Risks to 2022, found that the growing adoption of ecommerce in the Czech Republic is due to an increased confidence in ecommerce, online security and a number of online stores.
Other key findings:
in 2018, 90% of Czech consumers shopped online at least once;
cash is still the most popular payment method in the country, accounting for 62.1% of the total payment transaction volume In 2018;
the use of payment cards has been growing during the last four years;
debit cards are the most popular, both in terms of number of cards in circulation and the transaction value;
credit and charge cards were on average only 13 cards per 100 individuals in 2018.
