Ebay expanding managed payments to Australia, Canada

Wednesday 22 April 2020 12:32 CET | News

Ebay has announced expanding its managed payments programme into Australia and Canada starting later in 2020.

The programme allows buyers and sellers to conduct transactions using a wider variety of payment options, following a 2018 deal with PayPal that changed the payments acceptance structure at eBay, according to a press release.

Buyers in both countries will be able to pay using credit cards and PayPal. Apple Pay can be used as an option on the iPhone and iPad, while Google Pay will be available as an option on the eBay website and the eBay Android app. Afterpay, which allows buyers to buy now and complete payment later, was recently added as an option in Australia, while Paybright was recently added as an option for Canadian buyers, writes mobilepaymentstoday.com
