ComBank and PayHere join forces for enhanced ecommerce experience

Monday 29 November 2021 09:25 CET | News

Sri Lanka-based bank Commercial Bank of Ceylon (ComBank) has announced its partnership with local fintech PayHere to provide users of the Q+ Payment app a secure and user-friendly e-shopping experience.

Using the Q+ app, ComBank clients can pay at over 3,300 registered merchants with PayHere, while the card details of the users will not be required for the purchase. Disbursements via the Q+ app will require authentication with a static PIN, which enhances the app’s security level in terms of sensitive data provided by customers.

The partnership also allows PayHere merchants to add the Q+ online pay facility to their websites, apart from the traditional card, mobile wallets, and internet banking options.

ComBank’s Q+ app counts for over 100,000 active users and is Sri Lanka’s first QR-based payment app launched under LANKAQR.
