Coda Payments and Riot Games have announced that players in eight markets across Southeast Asia can purchase in-game currency for Riot’s free-to-play strategy card game, Legends of Runeterra, on Codashop.
Coda has also enabled Riot Games to accept more than 40 popular local payment methods within their game titles and to sell in-game currencies on several prominent third-party ecommerce platforms. This payment is enabled via a novel purchase experience that eliminates the need for customers to handle cumbersome voucher or PIN codes.
Coda will also offer payment solutions for Riot Games’ upcoming games, including VALORANT, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics Mobile.
Coda Payments helps digital content providers monetize their products and services in more than twenty emerging markets. Publishers of games like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty, mobile, streaming platforms like beIN and Bigo Live, dating apps like Tinder, and video-on-demand platforms like Viu have integrated with Coda to accept payments:
Coda helps its clients collect payments in Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
