Friday 26 November 2021 10:27 CET | News

France-based retailer Auchan has started collaborating with Russia-based e-grocery company Sbermarket for joint ecommerce services and marketing campaigns.

The partnership aims to accelerate the development of Auchan’s ‘phygital’ commerce in Russia. The parties also intend to strengthen positions on the food retail market. The areas of cooperation will or already include:

  • A joint ecommerce service (involving both food and non food products);

  • Jointly developed dark stores (starting from 2022);

  • Joint marketing campaigns;

  • Deliveries to B2B customers, including a dedicated loyalty programme (starting from 2022);

  • A white-label Auchan ecommerce site run by SberMarket.

To enhance customer interaction, SberMarket will help 'introduce a service for efficient order assembly and delivery.’ SberMarket will use dedicated cash lines where items will simply be QR-scanned.
