The newly implemented solution has been designed based on European standards and allows all providers of electronic invoicing to issue invoices throughout Europe.
If electronic invoicing providers share the same network, it is no longer important whether the sender and recipient are using the same system or working with the same provider. All that is required is an exchange of address. The network is aimed at everyone: from sender to recipient, from freelancers to large companies.
The Netherlands is the first country to implement this form of e-invoicing.
Simplerinvoicing is a joint initiative of thirteen Dutch and Finnish e-invoicing and accounting software providers, all of whom are promoting the widespread adoption of e-invoicing. The parties involved are: PostNL, Ricoh Netherlands, Exact, AcceptEmail, Anachron, Basware, BlueM, eVerbinding, Moneybird, TIE Kinetix, Tieto, Unit4, ZET Solutions and Logius, which is involved on behalf of the Dutch government. Even more parties are expected to become part of this in 2014.
