Finnish e-procurement and e-invoicing software company Basware has inked a contract with global technology company Ricoh to deliver its e-invoicing and procurement offerings in New Zealand, media outlet reseller.co.nz reports.

According to the source, Ricoh is expected to provide Basware with its technology to enable New Zealand businesses to switch from paper-based invoices to an e-invoicing workflow.

Basware’s global open network allows suppliers to employ their existing e-invoicing solutions without the need to install proprietary technologies for connecting buyers and suppliers. Basware enables buyers and suppliers to use one interface to connect with their business partners either directly via Basware or through its e-invoicing network partners.

Basware currently serves 1,500 customers and 1 million users in over 50 countries around the world.

In recent news, International IT services company Qvantel has entered an agreement with Basware to enhance the latter’s e-invoicing process technology.
