Revolut to hire licensing team for digital banking expansion

Wednesday 30 January 2019 00:22 CET | News

Revolut has announced its plan to build a global licensing team, meant to be responsible for securing banking, trading, and credit licences.

The company will take into account both new and existing markets, starting with the UK and the US. However, with the UK’s plan to leave the EU on 29 March 2019, Revolut has mentioned that it is keeping an eye on any Brexit developments, as this could affect the passporting of its EU licence.

The licensing team is meant to deliver the entire end to end licensing process, covering aspects from maintaining a liaison with decision-makers, partners, and regulators, to the execution of specific deliverables required to obtain each licence.
