Zwipe has successfully raised NOK 120 million (USD 14 million) in the offering of new shares ahead of a planned admission to trading on Merkur Market, Oslo Børs.

The offering was substantially over-subscribed attracting strong interest from institutional and professional investors as well as the general public in Norway and Sweden, according to the official press release.

The company aims for commercialisation of Zwipe-enabled biometric payment cards in H2 2019 followed by continued scale-up in 2020 and beyond.

Zwipe is a biometric technology company focused on the development of biometric authentication solutions. Its technology enables battery-less, contactless (and contact based) biometric payments by means of fingerprint authentication.
