Under the partnership, Yoti built a marketplace app for ForgeRock BackStage, so companies already working with ForgeRock can integrate the Yoti node for easy sign-in or user verification.
In addition to Yoti’s identity verification tools, the company’s age estimation technology, Yoti Age Scan, can assess someone’s age by analyzing their face, hinting that in the future ID documents may no longer be required to prove their age.
Age Scan has already been rolled out in supermarkets at point of sale terminals to estimate age for shoppers interested in age-restricted goods, but it can be deployed for both online and in person use.
Yoti says the scanner is not based on facial recognition technology, but the data is processed by neural networks that analyse pixel data from each image.
