Tuesday 4 March 2014 08:39 CET | News

More than half (56) of the UK population are not taking the necessary steps to keep themselves safe online, recent findings indicate.

According to data from the government’s most recent National Cyber Security Consumer Tracker, only 44% of internet users always install internet security on new equipment and only 37% continue to download updates and patches for their software once installed.

It is easier than ever to stay safe online today, as many broadband providers will include internet security as part of the package.
