YESpays EMBOSS Chip and PIN bureau service goes live with Energy Programming.

Delivered as a managed service, EMBOSS helps retailers migrate their existing EPOS payment infrastructures to Chip and PIN at a cost equivalent to a bank owned terminal – no matter what size estate they have. Energy Programming Limited, a leading EPOS, EFT and Internet payment solutions provider, has fully integrated its EPOS solution with EMBOSS. Through EMBOSS, YESpay’s EPOS software partners are able to upgrade their payment software just once to support Chip and PIN in as little as 2 to 4 weeks with minimal capital investment, low services costs and most importantly without formal acquirer accreditation with each customer. EMBOSS is an IP based service hosted at Transaction Network Services (TNS) which effectively gives 24 x 7 LAN access to UK card acquirers for high-speed, on-line authorisation and clearing of Chip and PIN and magnetic stripe credit and debit card transactions. Energy Programming used YESpay’s simple EMV Level 2 integration tool-kit to upgrade their EPOS software to Chip and PIN and selected the Trintech Smart 5000 PIN Pad as their preferred fixed device for rolled out to its customers. Since EMBOSS is a pre-accredited end-to-end Chip and PIN bureau service, Energy Programming was able to fast-track acquirer accreditation. YESpay performed comprehensive in-house pre-requisite testing and within a week informed Energy Programming that its solution was fully accredited and could be offered to customers without re-certification.
