Paytm, SBI Card team up to launch co-branded credit cards

Thursday 5 November 2020 11:43 CET | News

India-based fintech Paytm has teamed up with payments solution provider SBI Card to launch co-branded credit cards.

The two variants of the card, Paytm SBI Card and Paytm SBI Card SELECT, have been launched on the Visa platform.

According to expresscomputer.in, the Paytm SBI Cards will be equipped with one-touch services such as blocking and unblocking the card for online transactions, blocking the card in case of loss, issuance of a duplicate card, and viewing outstanding credit-limit.

Users will be able to prevent fraud by switching off the card’s ability to perform contactless payments or international transactions when they are not required. The service will also come with a personalised spend analyser to help users assess expenses and plan future spends.

Paytm has informed that the cards will be available to customers around the time of the Diwali festival. Select customers can apply for early access to the cards by joining the waitlist that has gone live on the Paytm app.
