Most of the 2Gs new features include the ability to communicate with FeliCa chips, support additional application code download, facilitate reader customization, and enable most 13.56 MHz card communication on a single reader infrastructure. The M210-2G low cost, low power proximity coupler comes in a small footprint with an on-board detachable antenna. It is compliant with ISO 14443 A&B, ISO 15693 and can also communicate with FeliCas chips. The communication distance goes up to 6 cm and includes cryptographic security management for applications such as physical and logical access control, reader migration from contact to contactless cards, and retail. The M220-2G is another multi-standard coupler, similar to the M210-2G but with higher performance and a separate 50 ohm antenna which can be placed in a separate location for integration flexibility. It is ideally suited for applications such as mass transit for Coupler-Transponder with a communication distance of up to 15 cm. The M220-2G is therefore commonly deployed in high performance systems and applications. The M300?2G is a cost effective long range coupler, compliant with ISO 15693 standard and specifically designed to provide long communication distance of up to 1.5 meters with contactless chips. It also comes with a tuning function and antenna tuning verification which eliminates the need for manual tuning and protects the antenna operation in abnormal conditions. Applications which utilize the M300-2G are RFID, Facilities and Asset management, Parking, Toll-gates and Identification. The couplers have successfully passed the worldwide certifications such as: I.D.A certification for Singapore, FCC for the USA, CE for Europe, RSS210 for Canada and are already commercially available. Singapore is one of the first markets to deploy the M210-2G.
