Curve announces it will offer cards that are numberless

Tuesday 7 April 2020 12:44 CET | News

UK-based banking app Curve has announced it will start providing users with numberless cards.

The new investor cards work with a chip. PIN machines or contactless technology used by merchants throughout the world access the data on the chip, but in case users will need the number, it will be stored on the Curve app.

Investors from Curve's crowdfunding round that took place in September 2019 will get the new cards, which do not have the PAN (primary account number) printed on the front.

Besides the change of the look, Curve says the numberless card will make online transaction easier because users will simply copy and paste the details from the app.
