Monday 26 July 2010 11:15 CET | News

Barclaycard, a subsidiary of Barclays’ global retail banking division, has made available mybarclaycard, an online account servicing system.

The new application includes SMS and email alerts designed to enable Barclaycard account holders to monitor their personal finance management. Customers can make a choice out of six types of alerts, namely, account balance, notifications of statements posted online, payments due, payments received, spending limit reached as well as balance limit.

Moreover, clients will also be able to set their own spending limits, and to choose whether to receive full alerts via email, or SMS alerts containing a link to the online system and a description of the alert in question.
