Crunchfish to launch digital cash wallets infrastructure

Monday 20 December 2021 14:23 CET | News

Sweden-based tech company Crunchfish Digital Cash AB has announced a patent-pending architecture that allows digital wallet holders to access their cash wallets offline too.

As most popular payment services including Swish and UPI are somewhat vulnerable due to their necessity for a stable internet connection, Crunchfish aims to smooth the online payments process by introducing a new architecture that allows people to access their digital wallets even when they are offline.

The Digital Cash Wallet offers payment availability in cases of service disruption or server congestion while also promoting other features like flexibility, inclusiveness, and privacy.

The new Digital Cash Wallet online has been well received by both payment services and banks handling some of these problems and is ready for shipment as an integrated wallet that fits between the company’s patented Digital Cash Wallets in mobile apps technology and the Core Banking System architecture.

The Swedish fintech also announced the development of Digital Cash wallets for non-mobile devices will start in 2022.
