Monday 24 April 2017 08:54 CET | News

Amazon is looking for potential property in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne to the first of many fulfilment centres to come, according to Sydney Morning Herald.

The company said that Amazon Web Services launched an Australian region in 2012, a Kindle store on amazon.com.au in 2013 and now have almost 1000 employees in the country. The next step is to bring a retail offering to Australia.

While some of Australia’s ecommerce may see Amazon’s move as a potential threat, others see it as a positive development.
