Canadian cloud-based software provider Wave rolls out beta version of m-payments program

Canadian provider of cloud-based, integrated software and tools for small businesses Wave has rolled out a beta version of its mobile payments program, techcrunch.com reports.

According to the same source, customers can already register for the m-payments service on the Wave website, with the rolling out invitations in September 2013. The Wave mobile payment app is initially set to me made available for iOS devices only, with an Android app planned for launch in the near future.

Founded in 2010, Wave provides integrated online applications for small business owners, including e-invoicing, accounting, direct payments and payroll tax services. To date, the company has secured over USD 19 million in funding and has around 650,000 registered users. The mobile payments functionality comes after Wave launched a recurring invoice presentment capability earlier in July 2013.
