Jorge Ojeda, art director for Versatile Card Technology, Inc., was recently bestowed four American Graphic Design Awards in the plastic card category.

Ojeda was honored for his designs of a VIP card for Venezuela, a color magnetic stripe card for Japan, Versatile Card Technology’s business card and FXI’s business card. Jorge Ojeda has spent 13 years in the plastic card industry, the last three at Versatile Card Technology where he was promoted from graphic design manager to art director. Prior to joining Versatile Card Technology, Ojeda worked for plastic printing companies in Brazil and Venezuela. Besides card designs, Ojeda is responsible for Versatile Card Technology’s Corporate Identity and their website, which is undergoing a redesign. He also has been personally chosen to design government identification cards for countries around the world. In addition to earning the four American Graphic Design Awards, Ojeda’s badge design was selected by the International Card Manufacturer Association at its international conference in Prague, Czech Republic, in October. The association will continue to use the award-winning design in its publications until next year’s conference.
