TietoEnator will supply the operating services for the system as well as 24/7 expert and monitoring services. The agreement does not require personnel changes. Its duration spans from 4 February until 31 March 2010. The ERP system forms the core of Finnair Technical Services, who uses it to manage service not only for Finnairs own fleet, but for other airlines fleets as well. The systems infrastructure has been designed for high resilience and availability. The system hardware will be supplied by Hewlett Packard. The purpose of the agreement, besides cost-efficiency, is to have a single orchestra conductor in charge of the systems 24/7 service, who exercises complete control over all parties in the event of service disruptions. TietoEnator Processing & Network has long experience as a service provider for mission-critical systems. We are confident that this companys service processes, which are under continuous development, are up to the challenge, said Kari Saarikoski Vice President CIO at Finnair.
