TietoEnator has signed a contract with Saleh Al-Barrak & Sons Co. (Kuwait) on the delivery of the Transmaster software solution for a national retail loyalty project.

The aim of the project is to create a new brand of a payment card combined with a loyalty function that can be accepted at all CSU retail outlets in Kuwait. This is the first project in the Middle East region that provides a loyalty program integrated with a transaction network within the retail sector. The project is to be implemented by the Co-operative Societies Union of the State of Kuwait (CSU). CSU, a management organisation of a nation-wide retail supermarket chain, will act both as an issuer and an acquirer of the card product. Saleh Al-Barrak & Sons Co. is the general contractor, joint venture partner and co-processor for the project with the CSU. Transmaster is a family of ready-made software products developed by TietoEnator for the complete cycle of card processing, starting from issuing to electronic payment operations via the Internet and mobile communications.
