As part of the collaboration, the company is set to launch an exclusive promo running from 16 January to 28 February, Power Savings. Under it, Smart Postpaid subscribers with Plan 999 and up that have updated their Maya Savings account will have the option of earning an interest rate of up to 7% per annum credited daily, as opposed to the base interest rate of 4.5%. The solution is believed to provide qualified postpaid subscribers with an opportunity to grow their money and extra cash daily, in a faster manner, in order to help them achieve their financial goals.
As detailed in the announcement, subscribers also have the option of benefiting from free InstaPay transaction when transferring funds from other banks to Maya and switching to Maya Savings.
To take advantage of the Power Savings solution, eligible Smart Postpaid subscribers need to follow several steps. Firstly, they should join Maya and upgrade their account, with first-time users having the possibility to receive welcome rewards upon upgrade. Once done, a Maya Savings account should be open, and users should go to the ‘Missions’ section in the app, search for the ‘Smart Postpaid Exclusive’ mission and enter a unique Smart Postpaid code, which is to be received from Smart via SMS.
Customers should spend a minimum of PHP 999.00 (approximately USD 18) using Maya on paying for their Smart Postpaid bill or any other bill either by scanning to pay, paying with the Maya card or shipping online, being enabled to benefit from a daily 7% saving interest rate for up to PHP 100,000.00 (approximately USD 1,830) end-of-day deposit balance. Furthermore, Maya Savings account holders can leverage the free Maya Card within the app.
Smart Postpaid’s exclusive partnership with Maya for subscribers is one of the ways the mobile services provider aims to offer customers improved postpaid experiences, with the announcement detailing that Smart Postpaid subscribers should expect to receive more exclusive rewards and benefits throughout 2023.
