Siebel Systems has released Siebel 7.7, the new release significantly enhances the companys industry-specific CRM solution sets with new and improved functionality, business processes, integration applications, and robust analytics. Siebel 7.7 further reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO) for Siebel deployments through substantial improvements to the underlying technology and architecture. Since its release in November 2001, the Siebel 7 product family has been adopted by 2,800 Siebel customers. With the Siebel 7.7 release, the Siebel 7 family encompasses 23 industry-specific applications that incorporate best practices in sales, marketing, and service, all built on a single standards-based architecture. In total, Siebel 7.7 comprises more than 70 solution sets and 490 discrete applications. Support for Web Services and the standards-based Universal Application Network integration architecture round out the solution sets and enable rapid, low-cost integration with other business-critical systems such as ERP, human resources, custom, and legacy applications. Siebels industry solution sets are complete, end-to-end solutions with industry-specific functionality and best practices delivered out of the box. These solution sets enable organizations to establish an enterprise-wide view of their customers across all lines of business, geographies, and communication channels. Comprehensive functionality minimizes the need for customization, enabling organizations to achieve rapid deployment and solve industry-specific problems in a cost-effective manner. With Siebel 7.7, all 23 industry-specific applications and more than 70 solution sets are shipping simultaneously with new and enhanced industry-specific CRM, analytics, and integration applications to address individual market requirements. New and enhanced functionality in Siebel Automotive 7.7 includes Dealer Showroom Management, Dealer Marketing, Lease End-of-Term Management, Account Management, and Servicing support. -- Siebel Communications and Media -- Enables local, long distance, cable, satellite, wireless, Internet, and media organizations to maximize customer service effectiveness, streamline sales operations, improve collaboration across the demand chain, increase marketing effectiveness, and improve the customer buying experience. New and enhanced functionality in Siebel Communications and Media 7.7 includes ATM, Frame Relay, and Network Ordering, Create and Validate Voice or Data Order, Dispatch Unscheduled Activities, Resolve Bill Inquiry, and Manage Current Subscription Account support. -- Siebel Consumer Goods -- Enables brand owners to increase the effectiveness of trade marketing, decrease customer service costs, enhance collaboration with partners and customers, and maximize consumer demand and loyalty.
