Canadian RBC Royal Bank has launched a new no fee Visa rewards card that gives consumers the ability to earn points towards travel, merchandise and gift certificates.

The new RBC Rewards Visa Classic card provides points under the RBC Rewards program which gives clients access to the widest array of reward options available to Canadian cardholders. Points earned under the RBC Rewards program, which launched in April 2003, are redeemable for air travel on any airline without black-out periods, cruises, tours, hotel accommodations, and car rentals. RBC Rewards also include gift certificates from some of Canadas best known merchants like Future Shop, Famous Players, and Esso, as well as over 200 merchandise items from top-name manufacturers such as Sony, Roots and Callaway Golf. Points can even be redeemed for RRSP or RESP contributions. The new no-fee card joins a full suite of RBC card options, including the fastest growing card - RBC Visa Platinum Avion. Through RBC Rewards Avion cardholders earn one point for every dollar spent so they can earn points faster and redeem for the same rewards, but sooner.
