Paymentech is an InfoWorld 100 award-winner for its use of KaVaDos Web application Scanner, ScanDo. Every year, InfoWorld names 100 companies that have made the best use of information technology to meet their business and technical objectives. KaVaDo ScanDo was implemented by Paymentech to safeguard its expansive portfolio of online services that enables merchant customers to quickly and easily access all processing data. In 2002, Paymentech processed 4.2 billion total transactions and 3 billion in bankcard sales volume for merchants in both brick-and-mortar and cyber storefronts throughout the U.S. It is critical for Paymentech to provide the highest level of security possible at the application layer due to the huge volume of sensitive data processed. By leveraging KaVaDo ScanDo, Paymentech effectively identifies security loopholes through the comprehensive exploration and penetration of its Web applications and operating environments. ScanDo provides hands-on expertise for the security team - revealing Web application vulnerabilities and the information necessary to eliminate them. The InfoWorld 100 annual awards honor companies that demonstrate the most creative use of cutting-edge technologies to further their business goals. Companies were nominated by InfoWorld readers, technology partners, and end-user companies in early Fall 2003.
