Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is installing NCR point-of-sale (POS) technology in its 113 Navy Exchange stores in the United States, Europe and the Pacific. NCR will also provide project coordination, installation and maintenance services.

The solution includes NCR RealPOS(TM) 80 terminals and peripherals, as well as NCR RealScan bar-code scanners. Rollout began in January 2005 and will continue through April. Scalable performance, expansion capability and a wide choice of peripherals enable the NCR RealPOS 80 to fit easily into retail operations running the latest operating systems and advanced POS and business productivity applications. The terminal features a sleek, contemporary exterior and incorporates a power and cable management system that connects multiple peripherals in a neat and orderly way, maximizing valuable counter space.
