The service is ideal for those issuers who choose not to implement an authentication solution of their own and desire an easy to implement and cost effective solution. HSBC is the first global bank to use the service in Europe with plans to offer it to its branch network across Europe and the Middle East in the coming months. HSBC has also implemented MasterCard SecureCode with more than 500 merchants and will continue to roll it out globally to the Internet retailing community in the coming months. Located at MasterCard Internationals Global Technology and Operations data center in St. Louis, MO, U.S.A., the MasterCard SecureCode Hosted Service is built upon a three-tier architecture that provides high performance, reliable and secure web-based services. The architecture includes the feature-rich and easy-to-use MasterCard SecureCode Access Control Server and Enrollment Server based in the MasterCard data center. It is also designed to be highly customizable, allowing issuers to control the cardholder enrollment experience on their websites.
